4 questions...

Post by GyakuGirePanda » Sun 02.12.2006 2:18 pm

二つ質問があります。

when I translate:
行き止りなったら、他のルートを探せ。

I get:
If you stop going, there is another route.

1.) Am I right?

2.) Why is it "探せ"?

and my third question is...
3.) what is the past tense of "送る"?

when I type okutta i get 送った

4.) am I doning something wrong?

thanks. :)

Don't you mean 四つ?
when I translate:
行き止りなったら、他のルートを探せ。

I get:
If you stop going, there is another route.

1.) Am I right?
I think it's more like "If you reach a dead end, find another route."
2.) Why is it "探せ"?
Command form. http://www.nihongoresources.com/grammar ... l#d0e12900
and my third question is...
3.) what is the past tense of "送る"?

when I type okutta i get 送った
That's right. What's the problem?
[4.) am I doning something wrong?
Well, you're spelling "doing" wrong.
thanks. :)
Don't mention it.

行き止りなったら、他のルートを探せ。
I get:
If you stop going, there is another route.

1.) Am I right?
No. Have you tried looking up 行き止り (いきどまり) in a dictionary?
2.) Why is it "探せ"?
Becasue it's a command. That's the imperative form.

3.) what is the past tense of "送る"?

when I type okutta i get 送った
Well, there you are, then. ;)

I think the answer to that is "yes" (or "either, depending on personal preference")
