Particles/Conjunctions
Is there any chance of getting a vocab list of less well known particles and conjunctions? I'm getting confused by all the demo, dakedo, soredemo, etc., and it's hard to find info about particles other than your basic wa, ga, de, e, ni . . . if it's not too much trouble!

RE: Particles/Conjunctions
I think the "Dictionary of Particles" has many of these?

RE: Particles/Conjunctions
There aren't really THAT many particles and conjunctions, as they frequently overlap in their usage, here's a short, incomplete list of the most useful ones:
wa - normal subject particle
ga - emphatic subject particles, lots of verb or tense specific uses
ni - directional/indirect object particle, time indicator, and also has many verb-specific uses
e(he) - directional particle
o (wo) - direct object particle
no - possessive particle. Basically means 'of' in most cases.
de - location particle, also used to mean 'by means of'
ka - the question particle, also means 'or' for giving a choice between nouns
kara - means 'from', also means 'empty' and 'because' =-P confusing
made - means 'until' essentially. Can also be used for movement between two places
to - means 'and' to connect nouns, NOT phrases
ya - means 'and'. Same as 'to' essentially, but indicates that you're only giving examples from a larger group
soshite/sorekara - mean 'and then'. Can connect phrases, use sparingly, as most people will use other grammatical methods instead.
kedo/keredo/ga - added to the end of a verb to mean 'but' or as a softener, an archaic version is 'keredomo'
demo - just means 'but', with other uses too (read the grammar page)
That should be enough. This is just a list, use actual grammar lessons to learn how all these are used in the language.
