And sorry for being self-absorbed and thinking that your exegesis of the passive was for me alone.
And you do have that over me; I can't read kanji so well - or at all really - as I effectively only just started learning Japanese.

Well, just leaving の or なの at the end does sound feminine, but guys can use it too... B)
Depending on where you are in Japan, guys might steer clear of it though.
