みあささ - I keep hearing this, and its really bugging me

Postby Enchantrix » Mon 03.16.2009 7:45 am

Hi there,

Recently while listening to my favourite J-bands I keep hearing a set phrase in the background. I've only ever heard it said by female speakers so far and it sounds like...

みあささ

But I keep hearing it, its like a subliminal message. Can anyone tell me what is being said?

To hear it in context please take a look at this youtube video and skip time to 0:50 or 1:45

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1MdFvksygk

Someone please help, I don't know why but its driving me mad everytime I hear it!

Thanks in advance.

Rosie.

actually i just realised a better example of it is in this video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39vdD02DkXo

if you skip the time to 2:20 you can hear it said over and over and over again.

No real meaning there, it just sounds cool like "La la la" or "Hey hey hey" in English.
そうだ、嬉しいんだ、生きる喜び!
例え胸の傷が痛んでも。

This is typical of music from Okinawa, and though neither of your examples is traditional Okinawan, they both have an Okinawan influence, particularly the first song from about the 2:15 point.

Of course Orange Range is from Okinawa.
