I cannot get the beginning part to save my life. Can someone help me with beginnning part about mary?

I think Mary is saying Sacho and I can't find a translation.

I have for Tom, that he wanted to be a singer and now he wants to be a rich person.
And the teacher didint want to be anything in particular. And he often thinks about quitting his job.
