Re: Help
some attempt on your part will allow us to help you.. We'd rather not do the work for you.. Even an imcomplete attempt is better than no attempt.

Re: Help
ok... first I can't find these words in dictionary:
気づかぬ (I guess it's from "kidzuku"? But what form is "kidzukanu"??)
天轟かせ
I don't know how I should translate 祓い人
My attempt has been:
"People don't notice their crimes. I'll order the dragon to _______ ... tear the grounds, let water overflow ...
I decide to purify these impurities"
-_-;;

気づかう 【きづかう】 (v5u,vi) to worry about; to feel anxious about; to have apprehensions
the nu ending is a negative ending.. in this case, rather than to worry about, it would be not to worry about or not to feel anxious about.
祓い; 祓 【はらい; はらえ(祓)】 (n) purification; exorcism so 祓い人 would be a person who is purified.
天轟かせ I've not seen this before.. the first character is sky/heaven and the second is Thunder, so perhaps it has to do with weather?

It is from 気付く, not 気遣う. 気付かぬ=気付かない (to form, just use ぬ instead of ない).two_heads_talking wrote:気づかう 【きづかう】 (v5u,vi) to worry about; to feel anxious about; to have apprehensionsAlbus wrote:気づかぬ (I guess it's from "kidzuku"? But what form is "kidzukanu"??)
Or someone who purifies... >_>two_heads_talking wrote:祓い; 祓 【はらい; はらえ(祓)】 (n) purification; exorcism so 祓い人 would be a person who is purified.
We'd probably need more context to provide definitive help with that one.
"Let's have a haraibito purify [your(?)] impurities(/sins??)" ?
Figuring things out from the meanings of single kanji doesn't actually work that often in my experience... ^^;two_heads_talking wrote:天轟かせ I've not seen this before.. the first character is sky/heaven and the second is Thunder, so perhaps it has to do with weather?
轟かす 【とどろかす】 (v5s,vt) to make a thundering sound; to make roar

Re: Help
Thank you!
When do you use "nu" form instead of "nai" to make negative verbs ?
Putting it all together... please correct any mistake I made:
"At times when humans aren't aware of their crimes, let's give the dragon an order, and let God resound all over, and tear the grounds, and let water overflow the earth. I decide to purify all impurities."

Re: Help
人が己が罪に気づかぬそのときは竜に命じて天轟かせ地を裂き大地に水溢れさせ。
穢れを祓い人祓うことにしようぞ。
hint!

I was just thinking about the nu/nai ending and wondering if my verb was right.. I guess it wasn't.. good catch.

Definately need more context.

So, then this is a thundering noise from heaven? That' makes sense..

It's an older form.(you will find the nu form of verbs quite often in the King James Version of the Bible) needless to say the nai form is the current negative form to use.

Re: Help
I don't really see a difference in the first sentence -_-;; but for the 2nd sentence, let's see...
"At times when humans aren't aware of their crimes, I would order the dragon to make thunders, to tear the grounds, and to flood the earth! Wipe out all impurities and those impure people!"
Is that close enough

Re: Help
Help me one more time, please:
Structures/words in bold are what I don't understand:
一身が記憶を取り戻す きっかけとなる あこやの姿。
天女像のようなあこやの姿をみて一身は自分の使命を思い出し そうになる 大事な場面だ。
My attempt at translating it:
"Next, Isshin regains his memory _______ Akoya's appearance.
He looks at the Goddess' figure and remembers his own mission _____ an important scene."

きっかけ is the reason or impetus for something, So: Akoya's appearance becomes the impetus for Isshin to regain his memory.
Vb-しそうになる means almost Vb, or be about to Vb, So: (This is) An important scene where seeing Akoya looking like a statue of a/the Goddess, Isshin almost remembers his mission.
