translation help on 2 sentences

Hi, I wonder if you could share some insights on these 2 sentences from my Lang-8 comments, which I can't seem to understand. Thanks!

1. もし日記の中に一般的でない漢字があれば、添削するようにしますね。
I think it means "If there are no common kanji in the journal, I will correct it with only hiragana.(?)

どんなコメントなのか見ていないので、なんとも言えませんが
きっとコメントのすべてがひらがなになっているのでしょうね。
その場合は該当しませんが、
日本語の中にはひらがなで書くほうが一般的な言葉があります。
もし日記の中に一般的でない漢字があれば、添削するようにしますね。

2. あと、耳にしたり見たものを「関西弁は嫌！！」って避けない事かな。
I think it means "And then, I wonder if you avoid Kansai dialect and say "I hate it." when you see it and hear it." (?)

でも心配しないでね！俺もm_に同意で、関西弁は特に勉強しなくていいと思うよ。ただ、基本的な形を把握しておけばGood!　あと、耳にしたり見たものを「関西弁は嫌！！」って避けない事かな。繰り返すけど、覚えなくてもいいからね☆

I'm merely guessing here. Although I can somehow figure out the grammar and vocabulary, it is very difficult to grasp the exact nuance. =/

Look at "一般的でない漢字". Try look at how the first part alter 漢字, and maybe you will come up with a different translation.

Umm, I try it again.
"If there are uncommon kanji in the journal, I will correct it with hiragana."
hmm, kind of makes some sense now.
