Title to a toku series.

拓人は燃えているか

Romaji: takuto ha moete iruka --- some how I don't think this is right.

Translation: No idea other then Takuto is the name of the person. I know 燃 has the readings of NEN, mo.eru, mo.yasu, mo.su and means burn. The rest... no idea.

It ought to mean "Takuto is burning?" or "Is Takuto burning?" But it is possible "burning" could refer to enthusiasm rather than physical burning. Hard to tell without context.

Incidentally, when you put down "mo.eru, mo.yasu,mo.su" that actually tells you how the verb will be written. (As 燃えす, 燃やす, or 燃す.) The stuff after the period is written in kana, the stuff before is the pronunciation of the kanji in that case.

The -teiru form of a verb means "is doing" or "is in a state of being".
