Ask my Japanese friend to come out for a meal?
I'd like to ask my Japanese friend for a meal. I have composed a short email and included the following sentence.
金ようびはしごとあとでXさんとレストランでピッザを食べにいくつもりです。Yさんもきてくれませんか?
I think this means:
After work on Friday, I'm going to eat pizza at a restaurant with X-san. Won't you come as well, Y-san?
Is this an OK (and more importantly, polite!) way to ask the question?
Once again, I'd really appreciate any help.
Mike

Hello Mike
That's more or less perfect but I have a couple of suggestions all the same:
しごとのあとで
I think ピザ is the correct spelling for 'pizza'
I would suggest using きてもらえませんか which has a nuance of 'can't I get you to come out with us?' but きてくれませんか is also fine. The politeness level is perfect. Enjoy your pizza!

Thanks very much, Ongakuka. And thanks for the PMs also.

Cheers

Ah there was another mistake that I think Ongakuka forgot to mention. They way you used いく requires that your location is marked with the に particle. So it should be:
レストランにピザをたべにいくつもりです。
レストランにピザをたべにいくつもりです。
