冬期講習

Post by MeitanteiJesus » Thu 08.16.2012 7:18 pm

In the line: 受験用の冬期講習に出てるんだ。あと、部活の引き継ぎでちょっとね。

What does 冬期講習 translate to? Winter-term lectures? It seems like some kind of special preparatory class for exams.

Also does 引き継ぎ translate to "take care of"? The dictionary says "inherit / take over", and taking over club activities doesn't seem to make much sense.

1) Winter course for entrance exams.
2) He's going to quit the club and needs to hand over his roles in the club. Makes sense?

1. I see, never realized the entrance exam prep courses were seasonal.

2. I was thinking about it completely backwards it seems, thanks, that definitely makes sense now!
