Rikaichan lists it as たん (n) sigh; grief; lamentation.

EDIT: I see that aru303 had answered you on the forum after you'd left, but you came back in a few more times... did you see your answer there already? (it usually shows the last few lines when you enter, so you should have seen his answer) :)
