Is this how you would say...

I got to thinking today, and couldn't seem to figure out how to say the sentence:
"I love to sit outside and watch the rain fall."
My thoughts on this were:
"おもてで座って雨が振っているを見るが好き。”
Not entirely sure if this sentence is correct, in fact, I'm almost positive it's not.
So can someone give me their thoughts on this so I can learn the sentence structure for something like this?
