信者乙

信者乙
Has anyone encountered this term?
It strikes me as some kind of fan or follower, but I can't understand the connotation of the 乙.

2nd rate?
stylish?
odd?

It appears on the net, in relation to a varied collection of objects: food, garbage, snakes, pitch darkness, etc, but I can't pin down a meaning from the contexts, nor find it in any dictionaries.

豆腐信者乙
ゴミ信者乙
python信者乙って言われるかも
極黒信者乙

Thanks for your attention!

Until someone is able to answer here, best bet might be to try and contact the author when you see it written somewhere. Sorry :sweatdrop:

This is Japanese internet slang.
"乙" is an abbreviated term from "お疲れ様でした"

お疲れ様でした mean:good job,well done,

おつかれさまでした
↓(abbreviation)
おつかれ
↓(abbreviation again)
おつ

"信者" means fan or follower.(in a real meaning,"信者" means believer of religion.)
but, sometimes this word used to imply light tease in internet.
"信者" is used as blindly fan or devotee.

in short,

"***信者乙" means,
"You have done well in this message. You MUST be devotee of ***. lol"
