Difficulty identifying typographic symbols

Postby stj2645 » Tue 05.05.2015 10:22 pm

While reading yotsubato! volume 2, I have noticed two characters that I have been unable to identify. I tried looking up Japanese typographic symbols via wikipedia, but the two in question do not seem to be listed there. I have made a cropped scan of the panel in question and attached it to this post. As I cannot seem to find these symbols in my ime (anthy via ibus) , I'll reproduce the sentences with X and Y being the 1st and 2nd unknown characters respectively.

おいおい! きょうなんかXYか!? なんかXYなXか!?

Thanks in advance

きょうなんかのひか?

ひ=日

It's usually a question asking if today is some kind of special day like a public holiday or something.
But the other character just answers 平日 (working day.)

おいおい!きょうなんかか?なんかか?

Hope that clears up your confusion.
