I don't know how to write this in Japanese
I'm a high school student and I'm writing a letter to my host family in Japan. I don't really know much about how to write letters in Japanese but can someone please translate some of these sentences for me??
Dear Mitsuhara family (I know these words but I'm not sure if I put them together right)
Thank you again for being my host family
I hope you are all ok and have lots of fun this new year
If you could please help me with those phrases I'd appreciate it a lot!

I could have sworn I responded to this message.
To be polite, you should list the names of all the family members on your card, not just "family"

日本は大変寒くなりました。皆さん、体に気をつけてください。
以前、お世話してくださって、誠にありがとうございました。

I changed what you're saying a little to make it a little more Japanese. Literal translations smack of such.

Japan has become very cold lately. Please take care of yourselves. (you should always start out a letter with a comment about the season).
Truly, thank you very muchfor taking care of me before.
Spending time with your family was very fun, and was an incredible experience for me.
I look forward to hearing from you in the coming year as well.
Have a good new year.

Hope that helps!

You probably did what I'm doing all the time: clicking on "preview" instead of send, and then closing the window...
Sigh.
