Can someone please tell me what kind of site this is and maybe help clarify how to use it? Translators like babelfish don't work and my japanese is very very basic. :(

Thanks!

Well, I don't know anything about anime so I can't help you even if I understood Chinese. ;) The site isn't in Japanese. My guess, though, would be it is an anime fan site?

Welcome to Gameo2.com!

SUNDREAM become force of the world 2004 SUNDREAM give hope to children who dream happiness.

No that isn't a translation;) It's the one bit of English I could find on the site. And it makes perfect sense.

I had suspected it wasn't Japanese because of the absence of kana in most places... well thanks anyway! :)

Yes, that and kanji that look familiar but are slightly different. As you learn more kanji, it is kind of neat to try to 'read' Chinese texts. Very often you can guess the meaning.

One very different meaning between the same Japanese and Chinese kanji is 手紙 (hand + paper). In Japanese it means "letter" (you know hand+paper) but in Chinese it means "toilet paper" (you know hand+paper)! :p
