translation help...

Hey, everyone, i'm new here and I was wondering if I could get some help with translating these stanzas from the Ranma 1/2 opening song, Omoide ga Ippai.

陽が当たる渡り廊下　友達に打ち明けたね
素敵なひと　デモ「ナイショ…」
切りすぎた髪を悔やみ　眠れない夜もあった
いつかは笑えるかしら

さざ波がさらうように　はかなく消えた恋
痛みが過去形に　変わっても

The translation I was able to work out for the first stanza is:
(In the corridor of a ferry, I confided in a friend)
(A wonderful person, but [I said], "its a secret")
(Some nights I couldn't sleep because I cut my hair too short)
(I wonder if I can smile about it)

Is it right/close? I noticed that the first word of the first stanza "hi" in the song but the kanji is 陽(you) and I don't know what to make of it. The dictionary defines 打ち明けた as "to speak ones mind (about), to be frank.." but I don't know how to translate it into English without ignoring 友達(tomodachi).
I'm clueless on the second stanza. What does "ように" mean? I know that -ますように is a common ending to requests, so does that mean that ように is something similar?
