Caring Person

Postby Kei » Sun 04.17.2005 11:13 pm

Ok I found this at the japanese friends page.

It says, what kind of date would you like.

やさしい人 My first thought was that it meant caring person.

But then I looked (Yasashiihito)it up and it said promiscuous person. :o

I would like to think my first guess is right? ;) Otherwise you guys are right, weird people in there.

Why does someone wanting a person whos promiscuous make them weird? Theres nothing wrong with anting a sex-buddy. :p

Ahem...well, やさしい人 tends to mean a "nice/kind/caring/thoughtful, etc. person"

In certain contexts it can mean "promiscuous" (in the same sense that we would say someone is "easy" ).

I doubt that is what the person was meaning, though, dreamingxashley's comment notwithstanding (I guess we all know what the "x" in your name stands for now :o).

Just to clarify, my nick is Xmax... but the "X" in there does not mean anything weird... it's just a spacer!!!
Just thought Xmax looks better than _max!!! ;)

Either that, or both I and Ashley are very naughty persons... LOL :D:D:D

LOL guess you're right but it sounds weird for a perfect date... In a romantic context.

Getting back to the translation, then is it ok to use that phrase with out people getting the wrong idea.

Yeah i wondered what he meant too... Her location says 'Michigan, USA'. But She could be from UK, and then moved to USA later, of course.
