shishou
shishou
I'm working on a writing piece for one of my classes and I wanted to use "shishou" in place of "sensei." When I looked it up, the definition was "master or teacher." I was just wondering if there were any connotations surrounding the word that would make it inappropriate or akward.
RE: shishou
Hi,
While the meaning is really the same, "oshishou-sama" is more old-fashioned and maybe only used with martial arts or teachers of traditional Japanese arts.
