kana for western names

Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out how to write my name, Philippe, in Japanese.
First let me explain the pronounciation. It's a French name, so the final "PE" is not pronounced and the stress is on the second "I" (unlike the Brittish "Philip").
My best guess is that it would be writen as フィリップ in katakana. Is this correct?
Does the "ッ" put the stress on the preceding vowel?

ありがと!
