RE: JLPT Results
Thanks ココさん!
It puts things in perpective...
Average results were better this year than last, which may mean that the test was easier.
Nevertheless, it remains good to have passed!

True. It is always good to pass. However, that also reflect where you are standing too. If the test is easy and u can't score, it could mean that you are not doing well too.

RE: JLPT Results
Actually, the average this year was higher because we, the TJPers, went and got amazing scores, especially caroline-san.

Well, you shouldn't be mad. Indeed, you should feel happy that there are still people ahead of you who you can challenge and improve yourself.

RE: JLPT Results
Thanks for the results link Coco さん。
I just had a look at the 1Q averages and it was so interesting to see the comparison in each section of those of us who took it overseas vs those who took it in Japan.
Writing/ vocab.......... Jp: 67.1 OS: 67.4
Grammar/ reading..... Jp:127.2 OS: 127.4
Almost no difference at all... but then
Listening............Jp:75.0 OS: 55.6 20% difference!
I guess this shows how much your listening skills improve when you live in Japan.
(Although the above seems logical it's still a little strange for me cos personally listening was my best section even though I only lived there for 9 months 8 years ago)

Actually, that was a joke : I still have 3 levels to go.... More seriously, I tend to find that challenging myself is far more rewarding than challenging others... And you're right : I can/must improve myself, I feel that everytime I go to lessons and I log on TJP!

Tanuki, I never got around to tell you that you had an amazing score, and that's true!

RE: JLPT Results
