A question about JLPT Level 4

Post by Chikiya » Fri 09.14.2007 6:23 pm

Does anyone know whether Level 4 is at all equivalent to GCSE (even the really bad grades)?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GCSE
General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) is the name of a set of British qualifications, taken by secondary school students at age of 14-16 in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland

Here are some sites with information about GCSE Japanese:

Looks like GCSE Japanese is tougher (and tests more skills) than JLPT4, and GCSE AS Japanese may be roughly equivaent to JLPT3.
