Can you skip a JLPT level?

Basically what the title says... can you skip a level on the JLPT or take both JLPT level 4 and 3 in the same year? All the testing stations are really far from where I live and my parents aren't willing to bring me... so I will have to wait until next year at least...

You can't take two levels in the same year, but you don't have to pass each level to be eligible to take the next. The first one I took was level 2.

THANK goodness.. i was worried that by next year, with 4 years of Japanese under my belt, that I would have to take JLPT level 4 O_O

yeah you can jump to the JPLT 1 xD.... but i dont recommend it :S
i recommend that if you have time studying you can jump to JPLT 3, but if you have already practice talking japanese, hearing it and writing it, then you could do JPLT 2
