I seem to not understand a lot today... What is BS? Not understanding that, I couldn't understand one thing from Infidel's post. I thought I knew what it meant, but it obviously doesn't make sense there, so I am wondering what it is after all.

To be polite, BS is male bovine excrement.

BS (or more commonly it's crude expanded form) is a term typically used to express a strong disbelief in another's statement, or making a claim that the statement is false, or at least not entirely true. BSing is the act of spreading BS. The comment that without BS, we would have no diplomacy is basically saying that BS is required for diplomacy. (We wouldn't have diplomacy if everyone were brutally honest.)

The last 11 words of 2head's post completely soiled the joke then.

I still don't see it as funny...

The same could be said about BS. <snip>

So when you find yourself up to your neck in BS, just remember. Safety first! You might even want to put some in your pocket to save for later.

...but that sure was!

And my first post was, in addition to being my opinion on the subject, also a reference to a Bill Hick's routine. Regardless, I do apologize for taking life seriously.

probably because you still think it was an insult towards you.. look again .. keep looking until you see the sarcasm dripping from it.. only then will it be funny. don't take yourself so serious that you can't see the forest through the trees..

Let's all bow our heads for a silent minute of contemplation for the untimely death of two_heads' joke.

The minute will begin... now.

I think we should all take a break with this child birth discussion and watch Knocked Up in my living room, in which I may be loud, together and be one big happy family. In fact, we should get together every Monday night and make it be family game or movie night.

I think lionesses will accept the orphan, but male lions kill them (for reasons that indicate that they have abstract thoughts?). They don't want to have to compete for food and females when the cubs are fully grown, and they'll have a better chance of passing on their genes if the females are available to mate again.
