RE: and now a morbid question..
I find it so weird that no one has mentioned this yet:
I'd like to die in the arms of the person I most love, telling her that I'll always love her, even when dead, and would wait for her for all eternity.
Maybe it sounds movie like... maybe not. Not that many haven't already mentioned so many unrealistic scenarios (maybe "unrealistic" isn't the best word, just probably very unlikely to happen).

Sei, your avatar led me to believe you were female!!
Not so, apparently...sorry.
Isn't it from from Millenium Actress?
anyway, it would be so sad to leave behind the one you love most. Leaving the pain behind with them.
I'd much sooner comfort my loved one, hoping he doesn't have to suffer.
(ouch, I sound terribly soppy here
)

Heh... I am female.
Millenium Actress? What? My avatar? It's from an anime. Which I can't seem the remember the name of right now...
Well, I wouldn't like to leave pain behind, but instead happiness knowing that I loved her till the end and will always love her, even if she finds someone else after I die.
Edit: Checked the anime name - "Maria-sama ga Miteru". More exactly, one of the OVAs - "The Lambs' Vacation".

RE: and now a morbid question..
I think I would like to be hit by a train. It's nearly happened 4 times now*, and seeing as it takes me about a half second for my brain to scream, "TRAIN!" and depending on how reckless the driver was - a second or a two more before the train passes behind the car - I expect it would be a a relatively quick way to go.
Problems with that are my family and friends couldn't have an open casket funeral and whoever was conducting the train would be scarred for life.
Although...seeing as I live around a good number of unguarded railroad tracks, I'm not sure if I really want to die that way, or just expect to.
By the way, I hear jumping in front of trains in a rather er..."popular" form of suicide in Japan.
*I was not the one driving in any of those instances.
EDIT: Sei - That is one very romantic way to die.

My opinion only though.
