JLPT 2007! Are you taking it?

Hello!

Just today I found out that 2007's JLPT is going to be on December 2nd (Sunday). I was also relieved to find out that my local Japanese institution is going to hold the test this year as well.

Are you taking the JLPT this year? Which level?

I'm taking level 3. I must apply in August, for the deadline is August 31st in my institution.

If you're going to apply, be sure not to miss the deadline (depends on the institution you're taking the test with)!

Well, I've been planning on taking 3kyuu this year, but really right now the decision is on my parents, whether they want to pay for it or not. They still have no idea about the test nor do they know that I've been studying Japanese (at least not to this extent, I have a feeling they think all I know is "arigatou" and such).
It looks like the registration period is from today until October 5 for the United States. We have REALLY bad communication problems, I have no idea how I'm going to tell them about the test in time.

I heard from a little birdie today the JLPT will change in 1-2 years again. This time they will add a level between 2 and 1. I am sure it will be like the 準一級 (pre 1 kyuu) of the 英検.

I'm taking it, but I haven't decided if I will go for 3 or 4 yet. I passed 4 last year, but only barely... So I'll either try to ace level 4 or go for level 3.

hey i hope to take 2kyu this year but there's only 3 months left & will i be able to cover the studies??? i still dnt knw when is the deadline in Sri Lanka got to find it
