Having trouble with a phrase...

I don't really understand what this is about:

Tsukanda hazu no boku no mirai wa...

I understand boku no mirai.. but what is "tsukanda hazu" all about? I looked up "hazu" and found "it should be so".. but is "hazu" some kind of weird noun or something? I couldn't find anything on tsukanda.

Literally, "My future that I should have been able to grab."

He is expressing his dispair at the fact that a future that should have been his was somehow taken from him.

はず is a copula, and つかんだ is the past form of つかむ, to grab or seize.

If I was to put it into good english, I would say "The future that should have been mine"
