My mother would want one, I'm sure.

RE: TJP T-shirts.
We can also have some t-shirts have breast pockets. And on the pockets there'll be the TJP logo in the top left corner of the page on it.
On the back of the t-shirt near your neck it'll have the web adress... See, I've got it all planned out. B) I'd sure love to have an electric tuba t-shirt too.
As for wheal t-shirts, I want a w00t t-shirt too.
Mike, I think all of our mothers would want a t-shirt that mentioned ourselves and is sold at our local Wal-Mart.
People, we need more ideas and then we can make mass amounts to sell to our members!!
:p Those party plates should also say,"HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM TJP!" too!! We should have those little cone hats that should say "dunce" too...

Oh! Oh! I just thought of another thing we could add to a t-shirt:
"I AM GIRL!" or "I AM BOY!"
:p

Choking on the coffee here, thank you very much.
That is funny as hell, though. You gotta wonder.

RE: TJP T-shirts.
Sorry to bring this back, but it is relevant - I hope.
Rich mentioned Cafe Press and I've spent a little time looking at it. Tony, have you had good experience with them?
I've stocked shirts in the past and it ain't fun seeing thousands of dollars of stock just sit there. Then I run out of larges but have tons of mediums etc... But the stockless Cafe Press sounds pretty good. Of course their base fees are very high, but they do handle everything from start to finish.
I could open a shop and sell the shirt maybe $1 over cost. That would help with the increase in hosting costs and make Hatori happy. Heck, I'd buy Hatori a shirt if it would mean getting rid of that flashing image!
The other issue would be shirt designs. I'll have to think about it, but what if we opened it up for submissions. The winner(s) would get a cash prize and a free shirt or something. What would be fair? $50 $100. I guess it depends on how many winners there are. It looks like it is pretty easy to add designs and adding doesn't cost anything.
Something to think about. But I guess the move still needs to be first. I've had several 500s today...

RE: TJP T-shirts.
if they handle the sizes to you don't get stuck with 500 mediums and 100 larges and sell out of extra larges in 5 minutes, it seems like a great way to do it. and a few dollars over cost would be ok I think.
the prizes .. now that's something to consider.

Exactly. It was just that thought that made me cringe when the subject came up.

Maybe on other items sure, but I think $1 over cost for the main TJP t-shirt would make it easier for people to get shirts. After all it is advertising the site - I should pay people to wear it - oops said too much!

I don't gotta wonder. I know exactly what his reaction was (thanks to a Larry King interview).
He wanted to sue. Remarkably, his lawyer talked him out of it.
Incidentally, when people ask me what it's like being the only white truck driver, I say, "Now I know what Charlie Pride must have felt like."

Hatori, I can't find the thread where I said something about your avatar, though I'm sure I did... But still, how is it all my fault that you are trying to give people seizures?
I would be happy to design some T-shirt stuff, if I ever have time... Maybe.

Sometimes I think that I'm afraid of thinking, and that scares me.

Sounds great. On the new site (I know...) the organic groups section will allow people in that group (for example - t-shirt design group) to upload pictures and discuss just within that group.

Interesting that you didn't go "Jackie Robinson"....

In the end, it's your call. but personally I say 2 or 3 dollars of profit to fund the site/keep your family fed is very reasonable. it's much better than the 39 dollar shirts that many other places would charge.
