Curse you, child. Now I have to go find out who or what a Martina McBride is....
Maybe it's just me, but recently your posts have been getting funnier. That just cracked me up.

It's just you, Tanuki.
Hatori, Martina McBride can't possibly be a country singer. Country music died the day Gene Watson got a perm and everything for the last quarter century has been what should more correctly be termed Possum Pop.

Country officially died December 8, 1982. Now, everyone be a good little sport and tell me who died on that fateful day/.. The winner of course will be a country buff.

Marty Robbins.
Not by coincidence, perhaps, not long after Gene got his perm. Perhaps Marty couldn't stand the shock.
Gene 1981
and later in 1981

Somehow I knew you would get that Mike.
While not the biggest country fan, I grew up on Country WEstern, and Marty Robbins with his cowboy ballads and JohnyCash with his "undisciplined, against-the-man country. Each time I play their songs they bring back memories of an easier time when working hard was expected and receiving pay according to your hard work was also the norm.
But I digress. Mike's the winner.. ding ding.
