10nin no indian boizu
This is not exactly Japanese music but I'd like to know if anyone knows the words in Japanese to 10 little Indian boys. A 7 year old girl asked if I could sing it for her! I remember learning it at school but can't 100% recall all the words. In English it goes..
One little, two little, three little Indians
Four little, five little, six little Indians
Seven little, eight little, nine little Indians
Ten little Indian boys.
Ten little, nine little, eight little Indians
Seven little, six little, five little Indians
Four little, three little, two little Indians
One little Indian boy.
So in Japanese, it must start Hitori, Futari, San-nin..... But I don't know what comes next in place of 'little Indians.'
Any ideas???

I don't know the answer but wouldn't there be a 小さい in there somewhere?
You have translated "one little" to "one person".
Being a song would it be translated following strict grammar rules or a more direct translation, eg;
一小さい、二小さい、三小さいのインディア人

Don't complain to me that people kick you when you're down. It's your own fault for lying there

Can 小さい be used as a counter like that? I would have thought it would be more like what the OP said (一人、二人、三人の小さいインディア人). But then again I'm usually wrong. ^_^''
How would you pronounced that? ichi chiisai, ni chiisai, san chiisai or hito chiisai, futa chiisai, mi chisai?

Hi!
I am not quite sure how accurate this is, but we did this song in my Japanese class last year. Here is what I remember (we only counted up):
一人二人三人来ました
四人五人六人来ました
七人八人九人来ました
純Cンヂアンボイズ
ひとり ふたり さんにん きました
よにん ごにん ろくにん きました
ななにん はちにん きゅうにん きました
とお インヂアンボイズ
Edit: Spelling

That's more along the lines of what I have been thinking! But I'm not sure about the last line, where Tux has 純Cンヂアンボイズ I don't think it sounds right as とお インヂアンボイズ. From memory the ending goes 署lのインヂアンボイズ。
With 7, is it nana-nin or shichi-nin??

Hi!
Looking at it now I also find ななにん a bit strange. I am not suprised if it is wrong. The last line is like we did it in class, but it doesn't mean it is right either.
It would be interresting to know the counting down verse of this song also. I would expect a different verb. Does it even exist?

Being culturally sensitive, I sing it as "Ten Little White Boys".
Never underestimate my capacity for pettiness.

Good point! How about "Ten Little Teddy Bears" so as not to offend anyone?!

Google's a great thing.
Here are some of my hits that I think will be of best use to you. They all have alternate versions of this song.

Indian (as in native american) is actually インディアン. Be careful with your kana input there.

Oh I had a feeling インディアン would be more correct. I should be more confident. I was just copying the previous poster with the インヂアン.
Thanks for the linkies, hungryさん。

I'm sorry, as you said, I did this too fast without checking the correct spelling. I should have done it.
Thanks for correcting me.
