Oh, yes. Primarily to freak out the guest star (usually some cute, unprepared tarento-chan) he would greatly exaggerate the "ue ua uwwwaaaaagh!" and require them to repeat with the same "proper" intonation and timbre.

Hot Topic is all about the image and all of us real punks hate it. Where buying clothes online having them shipped from, say, California (With SHIPPING is STILL cheaper then a shirt at hot topic! I've seen a Dashboard Confessional shirt go for $20.00. I said "Fuck that I could buy tickets and a shirt for less at an Indie concert"Hijiku wrote:
the Gothic/HotTopic trend is spreading like wildfire here too. i know people who wouldn't want to be caught dead in these cloths who are now becoming the very thing they hate!
Personally, I don't need a fad, i think being gay is a fad in it's own. who here agrees with me?
oh and on the topic of JP fads, check this site out;

when i read about the teacher, i nearly gagged.

欧米か got pretty old pretty fast, and the elementary school kids I work with are doing their damndest to run そんなの関係ねー into the ground.
That said, man, I never got tired of Hard Gay's act. He was just so happy and upbeat. (Still is, I imagine, though his profile is lower.)
Always enjoyed だちゅーの!, too. Kinda wish they'd bring that back.

This guy sounds like something my friends and I would do. I've done this before when my friends and I had a karaoke party once. It was fun....jt wrote:
Wow... lots of hatred for Japanese one-gag comedians here. I agree that most of these people are overplayed and get old (and annoying) quickly, but a recent guy that does manage to moderately amuse me is ムーディ勝山, who imitates a lounge singer, singing overly dramatic ballads (that always have the exact same melody) with lyrics composed of completely random nonsense.
Anyway, a fad in the US when I was in about fifth or sixth grade was having one of those Tamogachi Pets which originated in Japan. I always wanted one but they're not worth the money they are. I love it when they show the pixelated chicken drumsticks as food and the piles of dung in the little pet games. It's just so funny looking...

While there is probably no one here who has never encountered gratuitous profanity, we still like to maintain a modicum of decorum.
Never underestimate my capacity for pettiness.

Only a modicum, however.
One can get away with an occasional "poo!" or "dagnabbit!" but... only in extreme moments.
Seriously, though... yes, what Mike said. Please tone it down a shade.

I'm perfectly aware of this, Mike. I meant "us" in a more general sense.Mike Cash wrote:Some of us do make our permanent homes here, you know.lemonaid wrote:
