May I ask why you only want friends who are 13 years old?
Don't you think that older people may be able to help you learn Japanese?

Don't complain to me that people kick you when you're down. It's your own fault for lying there

You hang in there, Jason.
I wish my 13 year old would show 1/10 the drive to learn English that you seem to have to learn Japanese.

Having an English speaking parent wasn't sufficient? If you don't mind me asking.

Judging by my half-Filipino children, raised in America...
No.
(I know more Filipino than they do, and I don't know all that much.)

I'm a child of a bilingual parent but I never learned Spanish. My mom tried to teach me when I was 11 or so, but at that point, it seemed like nothing but hassle so I put it off and there wasn't really much she knew to do about it. For any bilingual people or people with bilingual spouses, I highly encourage you to raise your children bilingual. When they're still in that language learning phase, not only is it easier to teach them 2 languages, they put up less resistance.

Look people, I just want some friends, I don't have many offline or online and I thought why not ask for some friends who could help me learn Japanese as well, since I am really into studing it.
I would like people 13 or over but anyone will do, I just don't want people that are like 6 or so because I want people who understand some Japanese so I can practice, that's all.
My msn is sheep-in-the-big-city@hotmail.com so if any of you guys want to add me go ahead.
Thanks,
Jason ~ MarioGeek92
EDIT: I don't ONLY want 13 year old people I meant you must be over 12. Just to be clear.

I'd suggest that by the age 11 it's too late. If Bilingual parents want their children to also be bilingual, they should certainly try and teach their children while they are still young, and by young, I mean pre-school age. It's the best time to learn. Kids are like sponges at that age. My kids are trilingual - my language, English, my partner's language and Japanese. They may not be able to fluently speak all 3 languages, but they have a great understanding of them. When they get to school, hopefully we'll find a school where they can learn Japanese some more.

Just jump in and participate with us here on the forum, Jason. Try not to let it bother you when some of us from time-to-time show less maturity than you have been led to believe should be expected of adults. Always remember: When you're up to your ass in alligators it's hard to remember you came to clean out the swamp.
