Lemonaid Stands...
Hello! I just got back from a walk with my dog and I saw some kids with lemonaid stands. I then thought,"Do kids in Japan have lemonaid stands or something like that?!"
Do kids start things like that or should I just refer to my garage sale thread? :p
Thanks for reading!

No. But I've never in my life seen a lemonade stand in the US (outside of TV) either.

I'm starting to become a bit terrified... I mean, I've seen at least twenty in my neighborhood this year.Infidel wrote:

I used to have a lemonade stand when I was a kid, and when I went back home last summer, there were some kids running one near my house.
But no, no lemonade stands in Japan.
Guys in trucks selling yakiimo door to door, but no lemonade stands.

I usually see koolaid stands instead. But, I only see them in suburban areas. I see 4 or 5 of them every year. They give kids a wonderful introduction to capitalism.

I haven't seen a lemonade stand outside of TV.
There are, however, kids that try to sell candy for $1 to "raise money for their basketball team" or something like that in the subways around here.

I prefer to spell things correctly, so people won't think I'm uneducated.

I think it's because I've seen your name so many times I've adapted to spelling lemonade wrong. LOLlemonaid wrote:

I see them every now and then. A set of circumstances that are relatively rarer these days would make it likely that you would run a lemonade stand as a kid.
I would also like to know if there is a similar activity that kids do in Japan.

RE: Lemonaid Stands...
I have actually seen a lemonade stand in Australia which just shows the influence USA television has. For starters the kids weren't selling lemonade at all but lemon squash. What we call lemonade in this country is much closer to 7 Up.
I never saw a lemonade stand in my time living in the USA but I never saw a lemon tree either and I imagine that would have a big bearing on the ability of kids to have lemonade stands. When my lemon tree and lime tree are in full fruit I have trouble giving the excess away as many people are in the same boat.
Not sure how many kids in Japan have access to a lemon tree.

Dude what the hell is wrong with you people? I ran a lemonade stand with my best friend when we were in grade school. xD
I dunno, I see them around my neighbor from time to time in the summer. I usually buy some lemonade just because I know the experience lol

I doubt there is anything wrong with people who haven't seen lemonade stands in their area.prep_girl_Nessa wrote:

Are you assuming that your life experience is "normal" and any one who has different life experiences has something "wrong" with them?
