Hmm.. SS san, do you mean your class sensei gave you this link? Or you are referring to coco san? So sorry that I'm lost in your post. Oh yah! Side track a bit. Just curious where do you learn your Japanese.
Nevermind who gave the link as long as you found the link useful, it's more important.
Coco-san (and many others here as well) is our sensei without doubt. With her kind and modest personalities, even though she doesn't want us to address her as sensei, we should respect her as a "sensei", that is just it should be. Ever heard of 一日為師,終身為父? Coco-san is 母 though
O Boy. While doing some more revising and preparing for today’s chat, I realised one of my practice sentences has an unwanted negative undertone.
This is more what I intended to say:
私はココ先生にチャットの酪Kをさせてまらった
Obviously this made me learn a lot.
And only just now did I see the answer to my question about:
誰も笑われるのは好きではない?
(I’ve been a bit busy lately and not reading properly )
So a late ‘ありがとうございます' for that explanation!
今日のdiscussionは来ませんでしたがごめなさい。来ないからもう1つのclass online discussionがあります。とても すみません。
(Sorry for not attending today's discussion. I couldn't come because I have another class online discussion. I'm terribly sorry.)

I can't make it to tomorrow's chat, but I thought I'd give this exercise a go.
(not so easy at all...)
Spoiler:
)
1) c
2) a
3) b
4) b
5) a
1. About what size is that computer?
2. I had the weight of this package checked at the post office.
(b seems right to me as well, but as JB only gives examples with 重み, I thought I'd choose that one )
3. Last night I saw a big bird flying (by).
4. If it will rain from tonight on, tomorrow's fireworks will probably be cancelled.
5. Man (to younger woman) 'Is your father well?'
woman: 'Yes he is, thank you for asking.'
Number 1 is hard because the English sentences "How small is your computer?" and "How large is your computer?" are both natural. I figured since small is the desirable property, I would go with that. I'm second guessing that it's c now.
For 2, 重み doesn't appear in my paper dictionary, and on the WWWJDIC it seems to almost always come with the particle で, so I went with the other choice.

I hadn't noticed that! In that case, I'll "settle"for 重さ as well .
It was a difficult exercise, for me anyway, and the fact that we came up with such different answers makes me think I didn't do too well.
I'm actually working through a prep course book for 3kyuu, and boy, not good for my self confidence . But I learn everyday....
coco-san, thanks for the questions.
Here are my answers (or rather, attempts + guess works). Can't help but notice that my 3 kyuu grammar is really rusty.
