Idea: Voice chat!
Hello fellow accomplices
! I found this neat VoIP software called Gizmo, the cool feature with Gizmo is it's free, and you can do conferences.
So everyone, download gizmo from: http://www.gizmoproject.com and create an account.
To conference, go to the conference tab in the program, for step 1 enter this number that I created for TJP: 5440414
Then hit "Call In".
If anyone is in the conference already, we can chat with voice!!

I don't know about everyone else, but I think Skype is more popular, and I for one have a Skype phone, tee hee, so it's easier for me to use. I don't know, go with the majority I guess?

RE: Idea: Voice chat!
We've been discussing this on the chat a few times. And we've been wondering if it would be possible to put an official TJP vent server on the same server as the chat. I've never heard of gizmo, but it seems to be a bit much of a hassle when we could just have an official ventrilo chat. Skype is all good and dandy but it doesn't work well with a lot of people and you can't have permanent skype servers if I remember correct.
So what do you guys think about a TJP ventrilo server?

I personally think we should stick with Skype, I don't think paying for a vent server is worth it.

We've(we being some people from the chat) have been skyping a couple of times and I suppose it works pretty well since we're never that many on at the same time anyway. Now that I think about it a vent server would just be a waste of resources for now.

I wouldn't mind looking into a built in voice chat in the future, but let us know how the Skype meetings go. If you need to advertise meeting times, I can put some text on the front page or make a sticky thread. Just let me know.

Does Skype allow for chat rooms? Just connecting to multiple friends on a call isn't really like a chat room. I think we could use a permanent chat room like we have with text chat. Even if it has 0 people at some times, you always know where to go to wait for people to show up.
