Hello
Well, my mother she makes dresses for brides and the like. She got to see a model in a magazine wearing a yukata and she fell in love with that japanese dress - man she REALLY likes it - so I'm asking to any people (preferrably japanese, I guess) who knows how to make yukata (if any) or knows japanese lady who makes it, please help showing models or explaining. My mother promises sending colombian recipes - colombian food tastes, it does taste - or any other. Again, please help us.

if your mother makes dresses all she needs are the plans from a sewing book. And perhaps a pattern book and materials. You could probably find one on amazon or something.

I found this site, but it's so short, I have a hard time believing it will be helpful.

When I first read the thread, I was wondering what a Japanese dress would be like. I thought they would be actual dresses that had become popular creations in Japan while I wasn't looking. But then again, if they call those designs that Chinese women wear dresses, calling a kimono or yukata a dress is just as fair.

I made one while I was living in South Africa. Just go to a fabric shop and get a pattern from a book. Yukata are really easy to make.
