Generally, there is not a lot to say to the Chinese students of kanji other than, "You have passed this level young grasshopper." I really like the way you write 0私

If you look back through the thread, there should be links to composition sheets you can print out that have squares ruled on them you can use to practice writing.

Just went back through the thread to find a link to composition sheets, and it looks like the one I gave on page 5 has died, so here's a link that works

Thought I'd take a stab and see what you guys think. A Japanese friend of mine says my handwriting is pretty neat but I dunno ^^; and I wonder if I'm writing is too big or small sometimes too. Anywho this is me on some college rule paper.

Look at this "a" see how it's written? We know that people don't really write "a"s that way, but that's how the font appears. .

I actually do write my 'a' in the way that you see here on the forums. not the usual circle with a leg on it but the way it is here.

It should be 名前, not 名毎

Hey Kudo Masaki. I have a question. Are you left-handed by any chance? I'm asking this, because I get the distinct feeling that you write all horizontal lines from right to left. (the diagonal artifact in the cross part of あ, た and す is a particular tell-tale sign).

As for your writing, I think you're on the right track, but you need to practice more. Also, I suggest using a thinner pencil or at least not as soft as this one. (0.5 leads of HB hardness should be good enough to avoid smudging and flexible enough to write even compex kanji). If you're indeed left-handed, then vertical writing should be even better for you. Keep up the good work.
