can you correct this little text for me ?

Here is a little text I wrote about my week-end. If anyone could correct my mistakes it would be of great help.

土曜日の晩は武道のまつりがあって、　空手の立証をしました。　その後で、友達の所へ飲みに行きました。とても楽しかったです。でも遅くねましたから、日曜日の朝遅く起きまして、よく疲れました。　昨日はテレビで面白い動物の番組を見ました。ペングインについてでした。

I've never seen the word 立証 but I don't know karate or martial arts vocabulary so it might be right. Also a まつり is usually some sort of town festival, particularly one with seasonal or (shinto) religious connotations -- once again, I don't know martial arts vocabulary but is 試合 (match) better here?

hi, thank you for your help.
I wanted to write about a karate demonstration (立証 ??) during an exhibition (まつり ), I don't think I used specific karate terms, I just found them in a online dictionnarie... could you help me find the correct japanese words to express myself properly ?

karate demonstration = 演武or空手のデモンストレーション
exhibition = 演武会orエキシビジョン

私も空手用語には詳しくないし、流派によって呼び方が違うかも知れないので
たぶん前者よりは後者の、そのままカタカナで書いたものを使うほうが無難だと思います。

あと「疲れた」は、運動や頭脳労働をしすぎたりした結果として使う言葉なので
「寝た→疲れた」という流れは少し変に感じます。
「いつもとは違う時間に寝た・長く寝すぎた結果、バイオリズムが狂って体調が少し悪くなった」という意味だとしたら、
「でも遅く寝ましたから、翌朝も起きるのが遅くなって、すごくだるかったです」（だるい）
とすると良いと思います。
もちろん、原文のままでもニュアンスはじゅうぶん伝わるので、大きな問題ではありませんが。
