there are people saying Dance Dance Revolution has been banned in Japan, and this is due to the fact someone died, DIED, while playing it. incidentlly, before he died, he also got the high score on the machine.(coincidence?? hmmm...) can anyone please confrim this to be true or false? i have searched multiple pages and have yet to find an answer..

i'll keep at it, but if anyone finds out be4 i do, post here plz.

I think you heard a rumor. I did a google search, and if DDR were banned in Japan, I would expect I would have found some news story on that. I saw no results for that in the first 5 pages.

Now, with that said, you can get a bit of a work out from that game, and when someone in poor shape does a strenuous workout without appropriate preperations, injury or death are possible. (This is why you should work out regularly to stay in shape, and if you are out of shape, work up to the strenuous workout.)

The DDR pad in my local Gesen, as well as the fact that a new version came out early this year lead me to believe that you heard a rumor.

Maybe you heard some schools are trying to ban students from playing it? I remember the Jr High I was at had rules about what students could do on the way to school and back. (no video games, no soda pop, etc)

Regardless, america could use the blueprint for japanese schools. Our kids would be so much better off.

AMEN TO THAT!!! Holy hell, i thought my school was the only bottom beater grade school in the US. our food is crap, classes are run by morons, our school liberary has a total of 200 books,(not joking, i had the liberarian count them up.) and most of all, the security cop here is THE Pothead king...
