Well, I'm bored. So I'll post on this site.

漢字 I hate, all colours

黒、藍、青 All of 'em. Dunno the 語源 and don't intend to learn em, so to me they're just random 画 and irrelavent 部首.

漢字 I like

郷.... mostly cause I don't like 里. Why don't I like 里? Shows up in too many names that's why!

What others do I like, I wonder.... 恐悦至極, do 熟語 count? Cause that one rocks my socks

What an interesting thread! Okay, here's mine:

好きな漢字:
少 It looks like a happy face!
旦 It is what it looks like: morning. Also, I can't get over the fact that one of the readings sounds like "dawn". :D
歌, 栗, 奈, 苗, 英 I just think they're especially pleasing to the eye.

きらいな漢字:
臼 It looks like a broken 日.
曰 Looks too much like 日.
無 Why so many strokes for a kanji that means "none"?
骨 I just hate how that square is off to the side.
姦 Woman + woman + woman = RAPE!

おもしろい! 本当ですね。 :D 初めて気がつきました。

旦 It is what it looks like: morning.

その通りです。「一」が地平線を浮オ、「日」は太陽です。転じて「目立ったものが外に現れることを示す」。
Also, I can't get over the fact that one of the readings sounds like "dawn".

おもしろい。 :D

こちらも、よくわかります。同感です。 :D

姦 Woman + woman + woman = RAPE!

この字を使わないように要請している人たちもいます。
あまり使われることはありませんが、「姦(か)ましい」という言葉もあります。 :)

このスレッドで「 好きな漢字」として挙げている人もいました。

Along the same lines, there's 嬲る (to tease). 嫐 is in the JIS set too with the same meaning, but I seem to recall reading that kanji is poorly attested to in actual text.

I can't think of any particular kanji I dislike. I like lots of them. My favorite are kanji that have funny component combinations.

Recently I saw this one in a Japanese magazine 痔 which means "hemorrhoids". By components it looks like "Buddhist temple disease" :D.

However on closer examination this is a 形声 kanji, with one part to indicate meaning (sickness) and another part for sound 寺=じ.

漢字がおもしろい ね.

Ones I like writing:

線 我慢 換 愛 魔 博 砂 風 鹿 数 恵 勤 眼鏡 注

Ones I tend to not to like because I forget often ^^;

稼 薄 濃 熱 櫛 量 勧 賭 賊 酸
