Translator question.

how much is it a year?
i aiming for bach in jp trans.

Depends who you work for, what kind of clients you have, how good of a translator you are, what country you live in, the demands for the area, etc etc. Also, do you mean translating or interpreting?

I've made 10 cents a word, and I've made 25 cents a word. It depends on the client, the project, the need, etc.

There is, in short, no rule.

Both. interesting. if i can't be a interpreter/translator i wanna be a English teach in japan.

Interesting. Either a reasonably prestigious and professional job that requires years of study and considerable skills in two languages, or a lowly dime-a-dozen cliche job that requires nothing but a college degree and a pulse.

Good choices.

I hate to tell you, though, that if your grasp of grammar and syntax (as evinced by your post) is as it appears, no one in his right mind would hire you to teach English, and no translator firm or client (ditto mind) would hire you based on the fact that if you can't function in your native language, a second language is problematic and dubious.

LoL. Its just my 2nd choice of career just in case theres absolutely no way i can function as a Translator or Interpreter. by the way, what is the average pay grade of an overseas English teacher in japan anyway?
