quick question-
i read somewhere that ~chau is a slang versions for ru verbs.

that being said what would taberu become tabechau?

it just sounds weird to me. some clarity please?

i was reading my frineds book and it had michau. not mite shimau
and i saw tabechau too, r u sure its just -te shimau?
this form seems to clip off the -ru in ru verbs and add chau instead. i mean is there more to -chau then just -te form plus chau?

Read the posts again, it's not te plus chau. The てしま turns into a ちゃ
