KFC is disgusting. I'm thinking about WHY I was going to try and get a job there over the summer and I'm glad I didn't...

See, as Mike C. said... The number one thing on MY Christmas list was a boyfriend/Brad Paisley's severed hand in a box. But I got giftcards instead... That can't buy me anything boyfriend related! :p

For Christmas night and Eve, hotels usually fill up a month or so in advance. :/

I've given up trying on Xmas.
I've gotten screwed (or not, in this case) on V-Day, though. The other day when you can't get a hotel to save your life.

The long queue there does remind me of the Traditional Chinese New Year, people can queue for more than 2 hours just to a get a packet of BBQ meat. As for the KFC thing, my father would consider that as 反伝統の祝い料理, we could enjoy our turkey treat in Western Alaska restaurants if it’s too much trouble.

Strange that mom cooked spaghetti and made big pizza for 3 consecutive years, we enjoyed it last night anyway. ^_^

And I have western friends ordered Sakea Sushi for Christmas, not a TRADITION though. ^_^''

There are reasons to book a hotel in Christmas time here.
In peak seasons of November and December, most hotels offer attractive rates. Cinemax, shops and restaurants are all within a step. Public athletic facilities are springing up (special activities are organized since it is a long school holiday), everywhere is festooned with decorations and lightings, and you'll really make your kids happy if you choose a hotel that has better view of scene. When we were kids, my parents used to book hotel rooms for a nice family Christmas Eve gathering. Come to think of it now, ummm ….. we actually don’t mind our parents spending a romantic night without the three monkeys …... opps, nevermind …..

I think we're more referring to the 3 hour variety of hotels here.
There's generally only a few things one can do in one of those hotels, and enjoying the view is probably not one of them.
