Manga for teenage boys
I would like to get some Manga as a gift for my 14 year old stepson. He doesn't know Japanese or manga, so I'd be looking for some good choices to start with (in English of course). Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mike

RE: Manga for teenage boys
Do you have any idea of his taste in reading material? There are lots of shonen manga (i.e., manga published in magazines aimed at teenage boys.)
Inuyasha - fantasy based very loosely in Japan's warring states period.
Naruto - competing ninja villages. Also fantasy.
One Piece - pirates competing to find a legendary treasure.
There are lots more.

Bleach, Rurouni Kenshin... Initial D, Saiyuki, Neon Genesis Evangelion, possibly Excel Saga, Elfen Lied.
That's all I can think of that has something a guy would be interested in. I read girls stuff a little too much...

Negima!: Magister Negi Magi - a story about a 10 year old Welsh magician who becomes a junior high teacher
Love Hina - a story about a guy who becomes the manager of a girls dorm while studying for college
Chobits
A.I. Love You
Also, with the exception of A.I. Love You, these are available as an anime as well.

I went with Bleach. I'll post back on whether it was a success.
