Writing り (ri)...
Hello there. My book, in one chapter, writes ri as り, and in another writes it a a sort of elongated 'n' shape. Which is the correct usage?

It's the same with き.
When written you use the simplified form of き, when typed it looks like this き.
The shape is the same, but when written it looks like your pen needs a new filling
