I started officially studying Japanese at uni in 2002, but before that I had already done some self-studying for half a year or so.

How about when we quit studying? I think it was around 1989 for me.
Never underestimate my capacity for pettiness.

I'm sure you still pick up new stuff here and there. Even if you aren't making an effort anymore.

I should hope so; my Japanese sucked in 1989.

Mine too, I was two years old.
I'm going on my 6th semester and still it's not much better.

Well, I've been into the language for about 3 years. I've really been in the calligraphy thing so I picked up a few words here and there and learned the strokes and how to pronounce them. I was learning Spanish at the time and didn't want to start on another language, but now I've grown to love Japanese and I've been causally studying for about 3-4 months now. I started my serious study as of the 1st. My classes start in a week or so.
I can resist anything but temptation

Don't complain to me that people kick you when you're down. It's your own fault for lying there

RE: When did you begin studying Japanese?
Tony had this brainstorm to take the GED to skip much of High school.
I wish I had thought of that.
Bastard.

Is taking GED a bit like taking GBH or LSD?

There were times when it felt like it.

I got out of HS in the 11th grade (took "the test"), and entered college in 78.

You're a year younger than me but we finished high school at the same time then.
Studying Japanese was not on my radar at all then. Only languages I studied for the next 20+ years were computer languages
