I just started learning japenese

any tips on how to learn by one's self i have only learned very few kanji

is it better to learn spoken and written at the same time i just started 3 days ago

Learning spoken and written at the same time is what I and a majority of people will recommend. The 2 sites I found most useful for learning Japanese outside of this one are

Start with hiragana and katakana, they take a relatively short time to learn, and the earlier you do it, the more practice you'll have with them.

After that, you'll want to get some kind of structured program going. Most self-students choose a textbook and go with that. If you learn hiragana/katakana first, make sure that your textbook uses them, too (IE, avoid a romaji textbook).
