Star Wars in Japanese?

I'm learning Japanese, and I have found several american movies but released in japanese (like Shreak 3). I'm looking for Star Wars IV V & VI, the original 3 movies, not the new I, II, & III.

Does anyone have any idea if these even exsist with Japanese audio? I haven't been able to find anything about it.

When I was there in 2003-4, a DVD boxed set of the original trilogy was out, and it was prominently displayed in several bookstores and places where they sold DVDs. I never checked to see if it had Japanese audio, but I would assume it does.

I saw a video clip on You Tube of Darth Vader saying, "Ore wa.. omae no..... CHICHI DA!"

That was awesome. ^_^

And, a more relevant bit, I haven't been able to get my hands on a copy of the whole thing myself, but once upon a time, I found a transcription of the original trilogy in japanese on some guy's website....

Hehe, that Darth Vader saying sounds like something Jabba would say in the english movies.

Well, it sounds like it *might* be out there in some form or another. Does anyone have a good website in which Americans (or other folks in the world) can purchase Japanese audio verisons of american movies? I've seen a very small selection at my local asain movie mart, but I want a good selection to choose from. Doesn't matter if its Region 2 discs.

Amazon.co.jp has it. It looks to have both English and Japanese audio and subtitles. It is, of course, region 2. I don't know if they will ship to the US though....

guitarplayer: I have tried ebay, believe me. I'm not good enough to read kanji yet, I only know the Japanese alphabet when its written, so finding a site in japanese talking about language tracks is hard for me.

They very probably will. I ordered $100 of stuff from Amazon.co.jp a few weeks ago. They'll ship books, videos, CDs, and DVDs. Unfortunately, they won't ship anything else, like software.

The shipping price is fairly high, 2700 yen, no matter what you order, plus a handling fee of 300 yen per item. If you ask me, that means you should order enough stuff at once to make the most of that 2700 yen fee, since you only have to pay it once. Better to get everything you want in one order and pay the 2700 yen fee once, than to have to make a second order later and pay it again. That's why I ordered $100 of stuff

Amazon didn't have any available (box set anyway) I ended up finding Ep IV, and V from amazon.jp, but they don't have VI. I found that at playasia.com or something like that.

I think all star wars versions are in very limited release in japan.
