I'm suddenly reminded of that episode of South Park...

Several, actually.

I agree there. :D

I saw the end (and that pass :O), it only really ever gets good then anyway. Blowout wins are boring.

For a game of "football" it was quite amazing how few times the ball was kicked or even came in contact with a foot.

;) :)

I really liked the Doritos ad where the guy gets beat up by the mouse. Also, I was torn between wanting the Giants to upset the Pats and the Pats winning a perfect season, but I wasn't unhappy with the outcome.

Sometimes I think that I'm afraid of thinking, and that scares me.

Yes, you showed your ignorance my bicephalic friend :)

The game of "rugby", from which "American Football" evolved, is named after the Rugby School which also happens to be in the town of Rugby in Warwickshire, England. During a game of football at the school a student, one William Webb Ellis, picked up the ball and ran with it. This lead to two sets of rules for "football" in England, one where the ball must be kicked and one which could just as easily be played with a tennis ball and called "tennis" ;)

There are actually only six crickets (criquet/cricke) at a cricket match. Three at each end of the pitch ;)
