Usually, if I come to the forums and it hasn't logged me on automatically, I can just go back and when I try again, *usually*, it logs me automatically.

So at the second try it usually works.

You joined the forum on the old site while there was a red bar across the top of the page saying that the migration to this new site was in progress and no data would be backed up. Any users created and posts made during that period have not been moved to this new site.

ほかにもフォーラム内で文字化けをしているものがいくつかありますので、別にスレッドを作って報告しあった方がいいかもしれません。
Shoutboxに書き込むと煩雑になり見つけにくくなります。……って違いました。
ShoutBoxそのものが日本語を書ける状態ではありませんでした。これもいずれ修正。

That is how it is as default with phpBB. I haven't played with the options much yet.

これは優先順位の低いものなので、後回しにしていただいて結構ですが、フォーラムは27日（EST)にはDSTかなにかで表示されていました。
DSTの意味がよくわからなかったのですが、アメリカ東部時間で表示されていたと思います。
現在はUTCで表示されています。メイン画面との統一を図る場合には、フォーラムから入れるユーザーステイタスなどもESTに直す方がよいかもしれません。

I was wondering if the forums' time&date settings could be set like it was on the old TJP.
Eg. today would be 28.02.2008 12:06 instead of 28 Feb 2008 12:06 pm. I know I can
switch it from my personal settings but for most of the time I just read the forums without
logging in. I think it was more "global" setting than the present one.

I　was also wondering.
I thought I can delete the post if I erase every text, but I couldn't.
I think this setting might be changed if admins thought so.
